Brand/identity development, website design, print collateral
The founders of The Daily Hookup had an idea for a new approach to the overwhelming popularity of social buying sites: target one specific demographic, and curate the offerings to meet the tastes and lifestyle of that demographic. They came to Almanac to help develop the brand identity and website design for their Washington, DC-based start-up company. We worked with them from the beginning, translating their idea of creating a social buying experience for gay men (and those who follow their trendsetting lead) into a smart, urban brand. We then designed the website to highlight their curators—in-the-know experts in each city featured on the site—and the unique deals they offer. As they've shifted from start-up to operational mode, the brand has seamlessly evolved to define their advertising, printed materials and event promotions.
